Ghana has dropped nine places to 61st in the latest FIFA rankings. This came after the team's poor showing at AFCON 2021 in Cameroon, where Ghana finished last in its group with just one point from three matches.
This is Ghana's lowest ranking in 18 years.
The latest development also means Ghana has fallen out of the top 10 in Africa as Cameroon and Burkina Faso have overtaken the Black Stars.
Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Algeria, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso make up the top 10 in Africa.
Belgium, Brazil, France, Argentina and England occupy the top 5 places in the world.
