Personnel of the Ghana Police Service has arrested a man suspected to be possessing six foreign pistols.
The suspect, Mohammed Iddi, popularly known as 'Water', was arrested near Tamale-Bolgatanga Highway.
A police statement said 'Water' was arrested during a routine police operation at Pigu Barrage.
"The operation resulted in the seizure of six (6) new foreign-made 9mm Bruni 92 caliber pistols," the police said.
"On Friday, April 8, 2022, suspect Mohammed Iddi was arraigned at High Court One in Tamale and remanded in police custody where he is scheduled to reappear on April 25, 2022."
