Veteran Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari had his phone stolen while taking photos with fans after the match between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Muntari was in Hearts' starting lineup but had to be taken out of the game after 60 minutes as it looked like the former Inter Milan star was having a confidence-boosting afternoon.
After the game, Muntari was surrounded outside the stadium by fans who forced him to stop and take photos with them.
However, the former AC Milan player had his iPhone stolen in the process.
The public relations officer of the club, Kwame Opare Addo, confirmed the incident in an interview on Asempa FM.
"Yes, I heard about the incident. Sulley was at a photo session with some fans and unfortunately, someone took the phone from his pocket," he said.
The match ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium.
