Hacker group "Anonymous" announces cyberwar on Russia & Western allies over Ukraine invasion

The hacker group Anonymous has declared "cyberwar" on Vladimir Putin's government after he launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 

The elusive computer experts posted the clear announcement on their Twitter account Thursday night. 

Shortly before 10 p.m., it read, "The Anonymous collective is officially in cyberwar against the Russian government."

About 30 minutes later, they announced that they had taken down the website of the Kremlin-backed channel TV RT , which broadcasts in Britain and has been heavily criticized for its reporting.
