The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sacked Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac following the senior national team's abysmal performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.
This came after the Ministry of Youth and Sports directed the GFA to review the work and capacity of the Black Stars head coach.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has directed the FA to reconstitute the Black Stars Management Committee.
He said the country had lost confidence in the team and questioned the coach's capabilities.
"The ministry has made it clear to the GFA that the people of Ghana have lost confidence in the ability of the current Black Stars technical team to achieve success," he said. The ministry has therefore asked the GFA to review the work and capacity of the Black Stars technical team led by head coach Milovan Rajevac," he said in a statement.
He also instructed the GFA to dissolve the Black Stars Management Committee.
"Following the emergency meeting, the ministry, in line with its mandate, has asked the Ghana Football Association to reconstitute the Black Stars Management Committee," he added.
